The No-Nonsense Weight Loss Guide – Introduction
Posted in Uncategorized on August 23rd, 2010 by admin – Be the first to commentLiving in a country where nearly 1/3 of it’s inhabitants are overweight, it’s no surprise that there’s a huge interest in losing weight. There’s a problem, though… way too many people have false ideas they hold about what it takes to lose weight or follow some stupid fad diet. I’m no expert on the subject, but I’m the kind of person that does a ton of research when I’m interested in doing something. When I decided that I was going to lose the extra 40-50 pounds of fat I had on me, I ended up reading a few good books (none of them being fad diets) on the subject and did plenty of research on the Internet. I am thus writing this to share the knowledge and tools that helped me lose weight with anyone that may come across this post looking to lose weight.
Before I begin, here are a few random notes I’d like to make:
- If you’re significantly overweight, part of the problem is probably from eating a diet filled with foods that you should completely give up. Permanently. Eating them every now and then is OK, but you should not be eating them every do or even every week, if you can help it. If you go on a diet eating all the foods I recommend only to go back to eating the way you did before, you will most likely gain at least some of your weight back. I will cover this more in another post.
- Exercise is a very important part of a healthy lifestyle, but it’s my personal opinion that diet is much more important (at least when it comes to losing weight), unless you’re going to exercise for hours a day. The best bet would probably be to combine an exercise routine with your new diet, but I lost my weight without exercising and still don’t exercise enough, so I wont cover it.
- You don’t have to be hungry all the time to lose weight! When I was losing weight during my last year of high school, I would often hear everyone talking about how hungry they were in school. Meanwhile, I was usually just fine.. and I was on a diet. What’s the deal? I’ll cover that later on as well.
- You don’t have to be follow some strict diet 100% to be successful. While I was losing weight, there were plenty of times where I screwed up my diet pretty badly, yet these mishaps barely hampered my progress.
- You need to tell other people that you’re on a diet. As a 17 year old guy when I started dieting, I was embarrassed to admit to being on a diet for some reason. However it’s sort of hard to hide when you all of a sudden drastically change your eating habits, so I did have to tell people. And that sorta kept the pressure on me to succeed.

Since recently cashing out $35 I earned on a website called
So, we’re just about ready to celebrate the beginning of a new year. What do people usually do around this time? They make a bunch of new year resolutions. What usually becomes of them? Absolutely nothing. They forget about them within a month. In fact, one study shows that a mere 8% of people actually follow up on their resolutions. This may partly be because they may have made too big or too many goals, but also partly because, face it, people are lazy and need accountability to accomplish things much of the time. I know I’ve made new year resolutions almost every year and never actually kept any of them. This got me thinking, what are some things that can be done to better the chances of following up on your new year resolutions? Well, I’ve compiled a step-by-step list.
The first, I don’t remember that well and didn’t write a detailed account of it. I was awake for a few minutes between the first and second dream; that’s how I had a chance to write down both. I don’t think I’d remember more than one dream at all if I didn’t wake up a few times throughout the night so I had a chance to write them down. The second, I remember a little better but not fully. I know there was another I had and woke up after, but didn’t feel like writing down for some reason and now I don’t remember it at all. I’m sure there may have been even more that I never remembered after awaking at all.
